Tucked at the edge of the property where the light is best, The Hidden Garden proves that a well-placed garden can thrive anywhere. Designed for both beauty and productivity, this Bloomfield Hills space is a private retreat that yields season after season of fresh, organic harvests.
Four large cedar raised beds, paired with two metal arches, create a balanced framework for rotating crops — tomatoes, cucumbers, and peas in summer; greens and garlic in the cooler seasons. Matching cedar fencing encloses the space naturally, offering protection without distraction. Two front beds overflow with blueberries and strawberries, bringing a touch of perennial sweetness to this highly productive design.
Though set slightly apart from the home, this garden is far from forgotten — it’s a space where the family gathers, harvests, and connects to the rhythm of their food, just a few steps away from daily life.
