The Modern harvest garden

Tucked just steps from the family’s patio, The Modern Harvest garden was designed to blur the line between outdoor living and garden-to-table abundance. With corten steel beds that echo the home’s black-and-white palette, the space feels intentional and architectural — a natural extension of the modern home.

A central archway frames the garden and creates a living entryway, where tomatoes climb overhead and seasonal crops spill outward. Eggplant, butternut squash, and herbs share space with cut flowers, ensuring harvests for both the kitchen and the vase.

For this family, new to gardening, the goal was to bring fresh food into daily life without overwhelm. The garden nestles neatly into an existing square in the landscape, proving that functionality and design can move seamlessly together.
